WASCAA 5k for a Better Day

Enjoy a nice 5k with friends and family at Green Lake!

Washington Student Cancer Awareness Association is hosting 5k for a Better Day this March 16th at Green Lake. Please make sure you spread the word! The money is going towards Fred Hutch and our future events AND is a great opportunity to have fun with friends or measure your time for track/cross country!

Post-Event Update:

This event was a great success, with over 50 people coming out to support the event! Overall, we were able to raise $2000 with proceeds supporting Fred Hutch in addition to providing a foundation for events we are planning in the near future. For example, we will be using this money for our upcoming soccer tournament to support a local student with cancer. None of this would have been possible without our generous donors and runners, so thank you to everyone!

We would also like to congratulate our top runners: Matthew Staff, Eduardo Miller, Connor Lynch, Matt Cummings, and Jamien Murphy. See the race results here.

Congrats to our fastest runner, Matthew Staff, with a time of 19:02!

This event would not have been possible without the support of two outstanding individuals. We would like to thank Jimmy Addison from Rivalry Events and Dexter Guiang from Road Runner Sports (as well as those who helped us out at the Green Lake Branch). Thank you to all!
